Special surgical interests and experience

Extensive training and experience since 1994 in Adult Lower Limb reconstruction. This included a special involvement in the management of pelvic and acetabular fractures both early and neglected cases with an experience of more than 1500 cases to date. This was extended to difficult hip reconstructions including primary total hip arthroplasty, difficult primaries including hip arthroplasty in Dysplasias, Ankylosis, Arthrodesis, post traumatic namely neglected acetabular fractures which needs extensive and complex acetabular reconstructions and grafting. I also have a vast experience with revision total hip replacements with all forms of acetabular and femoral reconstructions. This extensive experience is more than 3500 cases to date. Also, I manage a vast number of knee reconstructions with different knee arthroplasties both primary, difficult primaries and revisions. This experience is more than 2000 cases to date. I have had a recent interest and extensive experience with young adult preservation surgeries including osteotomies, impingement managements both by minimal access and arthroscopic surgeries.

Being an international AO faculty with regular course attendances and education activities, I have a special interest in complex lower limb trauma in general including proximal and distal femoral fractures as well as proximal and distal tibial fracture reconstructions.
